Fall Migration Bird Feeding 101
Fall migration is one of the most exciting times of the year for bird lovers. Each autumn, millions of birds trave through southeast Michigan as they make their incredible journeys to wintering grounds across the southern United States, Central and South America. Thanks to Michigan's location along two major migration flyways - the Mississippi and the Atlantic - we have the opportunity to witness an amazing diversity of species passing through our region. An if we're really lucky-passing through our yards!
Finding reliable sources of food and water is essential for migrating birds as they rest and refuel for the next leg of their journey. Join us to discover how you can support birds in your own yard this fall, which species you can expect to see throughtout the season, and how best to attract them to your space.

Erin, our Store Manager, will lead a bird walk, suitable for beginning to advanced birders, at the Detroit River International Wildlife Refuge in Trenton. Please meet in front of the visitors' center. The walk will take place on the groomed trail.
